Signs Your Third Eye Is Opening: Making Yourself Aware of the Subtle Changes
The third eye is commonly known as the “eye of intuition” or the “inner eye.” It is the sixth primary chakra in Vedic philosophy and refers to the third eye or the pineal gland.
The third eye is associated with clairvoyance, insight, and intuition. Opening this chakra helps you see things from a new perspective and perceive hidden meanings in life. If you are reading this article, chances are that your third eye is beginning to open (or you suspect it is opening.)
When we’re born, our third eye remains closed because of various reasons. With time, our logical thinking begins to take precedence over other senses and blocks our natural instincts, consequently hindering our ability to see beyond what’s visible.
These are the three signs I noticed in my life when my third eye started to open.
Seeing Auras
Auras are fields of subtle, luminous energy that surround and penetrate the human body. Some people can see these electromagnetic fields of color, usually, those who are more intuitive. If your third eye is awakened, you can see these auras.
Some people can see them daily, while others can see them when they meditate. Many see them only when they are in a heightened state of consciousness, such as during meditation, hypnosis, shamanic journeys, near-death experiences, or moments of extreme creativity. Seeing auras can signify that your third eye is awakening. If you have been seeing auras for a while now, congratulations, your third eye is fully open!
Synchronicities
Synchronicities are meaningful coincidences that are both unexpected and significant. These occur when your mind and third eye are open and actively seeking an outcome.
You may notice that you keep coming across certain numbers, such as 11:11, 3:33, or other numbers that are significant to you. For example, I kept seeing 811 repeatedly at one point in my life. I woke up at 8:11, or I was walking down the street, and a car passed me with the license plate number 811. That number was literally everywhere. When I started working on self-development, I also saw 1213 or 908. So, those numbers can take any form.
You may also notice that certain things keep happening that are significant to you, such as certain types of birds or animals that keep appearing. For example, butterflies or ladybugs are some of the most common animals that pop up in your life when your third eye starts to open.
This is your third eye communicating with you. The more that these kinds of things happen, the more your third eye has been opened.
“Knowing” what will happen before it happens
During an awakening, one of the most obvious signs is precognition. This happens when you have an experience of knowing something before it happens. You might have this experience with objects, people, or future events.
It may be that you suddenly know what someone is going to say, or you have a vision of a future event. These experiences are common during an awakening, especially if the third eye chakra is being activated. You might also find that people around you start to behave strangely.
You may be able to sense what they are feeling and even what they will do. This can be quite a strange experience, as it’s not something that most people can do. When your third eye is fully open, you may find that you have lots of experiences like this.
So, is your third eye open?
As you can see, there are many ways that you can tell if your third eye is open. You may have already noticed a few of these signs, and if you have, congratulations! If not, don’t worry, these changes are normal, and you will begin to notice them very soon. When your third eye opens, it can cause many exciting changes to occur in your life, but it takes some time for these changes to happen.
