Starting from the top…

1.) DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN:

What it means: This error appears when your computer cannot find the DNS server. It is an indication that there may be a problem with your Internet settings or your network.

How to fix it: –

Check that you have entered the DNS servers correctly in the connection properties. If they are not, then you may need to contact your ISP for assistance. – If there is nothing wrong with the DNS servers, then click on “Start” and search for “cmd”. Open it and type “ipconfig /flushdns” (without the quotes) and press “Enter.”

-You may also need to restart your computer. If you are still getting this error, or any of these, for that matter, then it is recommended that you contact a service professional to look at your system.

2.) ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED:

What it means: This error appears when the DNS server cannot resolve the domain name you typed.  It can also appear if there is something wrong with your browser settings.  Lastly, it may appear if your computer’s “hosts” file has been edited to redirect the web pages.

How to fix it: –

Ensure that the hostname you are trying to access is correct. – Check your Internet connection by refreshing the Internet page. – If you are still getting this error, then close your browser and open it again. This should clear up any problems with your browser settings.  You can also try restarting your computer and then trying to access the webpage.

– If you are still having problems, then check your system for viruses and malware.  If that doesn’t work, then it is recommended that you contact a PC repair professional.

3.) ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_FAILED:

What it means: This error appears when your computer cannot find the server or there is an issue with your Internet connection.

How to fix it: –

Ensure that you are connected to the Internet. – Try refreshing the webpage. If you are still having problems, then close your browser and open it again. This should clear up any problems with your browser settings.  You can also try restarting your computer and then trying to access the webpage.

– Check that you have entered the DNS servers correctly in your connection properties. If they are not, then you may need to contact your ISP for assistance. – You can also try connecting to a different network or checking your network settings again.  If that doesn’t work, then it is recommended that you contact a service professional.

4.) ERROR_INTERNET_INVALID_PROXY_SERVER:

What it means: This error appears when there is something wrong with the proxy server you are using to access the Internet. It can also appear if your system’s “hosts” file has been edited to redirect a webpage.

How to fix it: –

Ensure that you have entered the correct proxy server address in your browser settings.  You can also try clicking “Use a different proxy server” and entering another one. – Check that you have Internet access on your computer, otherwise this error will appear when trying to connect to the proxy server.  You can also try refreshing the webpage or restarting your computer.
